Irixs supports Eyes For The World. A good cause that provides eyeglasses for children
in underdeveloped countries to solve their visual disabilities. For every Irixs pair of
glasses sold, part of the revenue goes directly to this fund.

The Story

The first encounters between the founders of the Irixs team go back to late 2013. A charity event in Antwerp (Belgium) was the first time we sat together. From the start it was clear that we shared a passion: the possibilities that 3D printing could bring to eyewear and the way we experience it. Informal meetings quickly led to concrete ideas that soon became executable plans.

When the first prototypes of customizable Irixs eyewear were created, we decided to put some of our designs in front of people. What followed was a process of fine-tuning and finding ways to meet the expectations of customers.

We discovered that the made-to-measure aspect of the Irixs eyewear was as important as its disruptive design and manufacturing it was made with.

Now we are proud to present our team, having highly complementary skills ranging from 3D printing expertise, 3D customization technology, design and optical knowledge.
